Our System...
We start  our chicks in groups over a period of time.    Several months in fact.  We refer to each group as a 'placement'.    Starting our chicks like this allows us to have multiple age groups available for you to select from in a variety of breeds.   


Making of a Premium Layer...
After the chicks arrive we constantly monitor &  adjust  the temperature, fresh air and even their drinking water to create the optimum environment for their development.  Even the  gals' diet will change a minimum of 3 times before they are grown.  Working with animal Nutritionist  we  insure that they are given just the right vitamins, minerals & proteins needed to develop strong bodies with colorful feather displays.  Besides   looking awesome, our hens will have developed an immune systems that is second to none as well!   You  just can't beat a Mother Clucker  Premium Texas Layer.


How We Sell...
Like a vintage wine, Mother Clucker  will not sell a chick before its time!  The process of starting and caring for chicks correctly in the first few weeks after hatch is so important that it  impacts  the hens health  throughout her entire life. We simply will not sell  a chick before they are ready.  The 'Brood Cycle' is just that important.  Because of this philosophy we market our hens in 2  categories.
